
Terje Ekstrøm
Terje Ekstrøm (1944–2013) was a Norwegian interior architect, furniture designer and industrial designer. A pioneer of postmodern design in Norway, he is best known for the sculptural and playful Ekstrem chair, which entered production in 1984.
Ekstrøm studied at the Statens håndverks- og kunstindustriskole in Oslo, where he also created the experimental Sekskanthuset housing project. Before the Ekstrem chair, he gained international recognition for the Fasett speaker designed for Tandberg Radiofabrikk.
